We have been very privileged to have four sweet and beautiful show/alter Ragdolls all of whom have done very well in the show ring, both as kittens and as adults.  We are still in the process of showing them, and also our breeders.  We attend CFA shows, as we are located in the Washington DC Metro region, and there is only one TICA show in our area yearly, while there are a number of CFA shows.  If you attend a CFA show in our area, you will probably meet us there!  We love to show, and feel that it is the correct thing to do as a breeder, as the judges give us a professional opinion of the adherence to standard of our kitties.  It is even more important now that we are breeding these precious animals.  So all of our babies are show babies!!

CFA CHAMPION KISSYKAT'S MY BLUE SKYE OF BELLALUNA

CFA Grand Champion Kissykat's Keegan x Tippy Toes of Kissykat
(Blue bicolor girl)

Here is our own little darling Blue Skye at the National Capital Cat Show in Washington DC in September, 2009.  She got her CFA winners ribbons while attending and is now a Champion.  She loves shows and is our little baby HAM, maybe a whole ham sandwich.  She is looking at the sisal pole in the first photo, and trying to figure out how to work it.  In the second picture, she has climbed up and is hanging there like a little monkey.  She adores all people, never met a stranger and loves to perform.  As you can see by looking at her, to top off this special personality, she is an absolute beauty.  We love her dearly, and can never thank Kathleen Burke of Kissykat enough for the gift of this precious baby girl.

Premier Keepurrs Jack Jack of BellaLuna

Rags2Riches Jake of Keepurrs x CH Hanna Banana of Keepurrs
(Blue Bicolor)

Our darling Jack Jack (we call him Handsome Jack around here) came to us as the most adorable little soft fluffy ball of fur you have ever seen.  His breeder, our friend Christie Lyons, just hated to part with him, but we are so glad that she sent us her very best!!  As you can see, he has the sweetest baby face in the whole world, and he has the most laid back personality I have ever seen.  Cristie is still breeding his lines and we are really keeping our fingers crossed that we will be able to get a show/breeder with his bloodlines in the future.  We cannot think of a more beautiful, sweet and loving baby, and would like to have more!!  Jack Jack did very well as a kitten, finalling several times and also as an adult.  He is very close in points to getting his Grand Premier, and we really hope we can grand him some day.  At his first show as a kitten, we were in a finals ring, and when the judge lifted him out of the cage to show him off to the crowd (he was third best kitten in her ring at a very big show) she said "Who neutered this kitten?"  She was so appalled that such a gorgeous boy wasn't going to have kittens of his own.  But he will always be our baby, and we adore him.  We adopted him to be a companion and friend to our first kitten, Reecie, below, and they became fast friends and love each other still.  Every time they pass each other they stop to give each other sweet little kisses on the head.

Premier LeCapri Reeces Pieces of BellaLuna

GC Magnum of LeCapri x CH Carlydolls My Annabelle of LeCapri
(Seal Tortie Bicolor)

Our Reecie, as we call her, is our first Ragdoll.  Wanda Younger of the outstanding but no longer breeding cattery of LeCapri is her breeder.  LeCapri had the most fabulous website, and as I was researching the breed I came back to it time and again.  I corresponded with Wanda by e-mail, and had originally hoped to have two of her kittens, a show/alter and a pet to keep the show/alter company.  Well, things hardly ever go as you want, but as the  Rolling Stones remind us, you get what you need.  She was supposed to go as a breeder, but when that fell through she was put up for adoption.  I saw her that day on Wanda's site, and looking at her precious little face, I just started to cry.  I had never wanted a tortie, nor an older girl, she was 6 months old so I was missing some "kitten time" but I knew she was mine.  A quick call to my darling husband gave me the okay, and I e-mailed Wanda, who was willing to let me adopt Reece.  I flew up to Illinois the next week and brought her home.  She was, and is, like a miracle to us, such a loving little purrbaby, soft silky fur, such a sweet little bandit face, such gorgeous interesting colors.  She did very well in the show ring as a kitten and a young adult (as you can see above, I am showing off her best show, the prestigious Crab and Mallet in Maryland, where she kicked some serious kitty butt), but she had a very traumatic experience at a show involving a loose and hysterical Ocicat kitten who crouched shrieking under Reecie's show cage and the huge Maine Coon boy in the cage behind her, and let me know that she never wanted to show again.  We are sad, as she is very close to being a Grand Premier in points, but her happiness is my first concern so now she just stays home and gets playtime (she is crazy about anything involving a feather) hugs, kisses, pets and babies all the new kittens and puppies as they come.

 Premier RaggleDazzle Bewitched of BellaLuna
(Seal Bicolor)

Here is our absolutely beautiful seal bicolor girl, Bewitched, whom we call Sammi.  I first saw her at a show when she was only a tiny bit more than 4 months old.  She was the most adorable kitten I had ever seen and I just couldn't keep my hands off of her.  I just couldn't get her out of my mind, and when the breeder put her up for sale I asked for her.  She has the most deep, purply-blue eyes, most inky black point color and softest fur you have ever seen.  She is and stays in superb condition all the time.  We call her Supermodel because she is so outstandingly beautiful.  She knows this, expects adoration, and is actually my husband Glen's cat.  They fell in love at first sight, and frankly, she has him wrapped around her gorgeous paw.  He holds her up to the mirror so she can see the fairest one of them all!!  As well as being the house beauty, she has a very special cat trick.  Her breeder, had a background in dog training, and has always had dogs.  When Sammi first came to us, and our little Tiny Toy Poodle, Seacrets, would bark, we thought we heard an echo.  Come to find out, being raised with dogs gave Sammi ideas, and when our dogs bark, she barks.  She only barks after they do, but she always does this.  It is really pretty funny, and has to be heard to be believed!!

Premier Kissykat's Lavender's Blue Dilly Dilly of BellaLuna
(Blue Bicolor)

Here we are at the 2007 National Capital Cat Show.  Dilly was just 8 months old, and she got all her winner's ribbons and became a Premier.  Dilly Bug just has the best temperament in the whole world.  I am holding her, in the classic Ragdoll flop, her choice of pose, at one of the biggest shows in the country.  There were over 400 cats, all their exhibitors, a huge amount of spectators, a huge amount of vendors, 8 rings, a parade of breeds going on with commentary heard throughout the venue, in short, it was chaos.  I was twitching it was so busy and loud and insane.  But there was Miss Dilly Bug, happy as a clam, totally flopped, just looking around and purring.  She is a natural at the shows.  She loves people and loves the attention, so is always happy to be there.  I have every intention of getting her back out into the show arenas this year, and so if you are visiting a show in our area, you will probably see me and the Bug, and one or more of the new kids, enjoying ourselves and showing off.  Please stop and say hi!  We love to talk Ragdolls, and Dilly Bug is the best of the very best.
